Back in the news, the trio announced Tuesday that they will build a concrete gravitational structure (CGS) for the fixed drilling platform. The CGS, with a total height of 145 m and a base diameter of 122 m, needs 76,000 m3 of concrete for its construction, which will take place from 2017 to 2021 in a specially built dry dock. “Dragados Canada is proud to partner with our partners and Husky Energy on this innovative project, providing our knowledge and skills in the technically complex field of large concrete structures and working with workers and suppliers in Newfoundland and Labrador,” said Diego Zumaquero, President of Dragados Canada.
